"Lost at sea" by Frances R

Paper collage. 120 x 80 cm. 100% paper. The work is made with pieces of paper that have been stuck (wet) to a sheet of thick speciality paper (not cardboard). The proces of making these types of "paintings" is long and not without the risk due to the paper canvas  tendency to warp because of the wet application of the smaller bits of paper. The end result gives a nice spatial effect. The "canvas" is fixed to a custom made wooden frame.
